Privacy policy
Last updated: August 12, 2026. The short version: this site collects the bare minimum needed to run and improve it, and never sells your data. Ever.
What we collect
Plane & Point uses simple, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which lessons are used, how long people spend on them, and which devices they visit from. This helps us prioritize what to improve.
Specifically, we may collect:
- Anonymous usage data — pages viewed, referring site, approximate country, device type, and browser.
- Diagnostic information when errors happen — the URL, the error message, and browser type. No personal identifiers.
We do not collect: your name, email address, IP address (beyond derivation of approximate country), or any personal information — unless you send it to us via email.
Cookies
The site itself does not set tracking cookies. If analytics are enabled, the analytics provider may set a single first-party cookie to distinguish repeat visits from new ones. It contains no personal data.
If you email us at hello@planeandpoint.com, we'll keep your message in our inbox so we can reply and refer back to it. We do not add you to any list. We do not share your email with anyone.
Local storage
The site does not currently use browser local storage or cookies to save your work, progress, or preferences. Your dark-mode preference is set fresh each visit based on your operating system's setting.
Third-party services
The site loads fonts from Fontshare (a free typography service) via a CDN. This means Fontshare's servers will see your IP address when your browser requests fonts, which is a standard part of how the web works. Their privacy policy applies to that request.
Children
Plane & Point is intended for learners of all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Because we don't collect personal information at all, this includes children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top and, for material changes, add a note on the homepage.
